An introduction to D. Wheatland Engineering –
precision machining company in Surrey

D. Wheatland Engineering has always been a true ‘family firm.’ Established in 1968 by the late Douglas Wheatland, the company is today owned and run by his three sons Richard, David and Alan.

The company trades from a well-appointed modern 3000 sq ft workshop and office facility on the Heath Business Centre, Salfords, near Redhill in Surrey. The company first established a workshop on the Salfords site in 1980 before moving into the current premises in 2006. Heath Business Centre is located just off the A23 between Horley and Redhill.

Our team of Precision Engineers are used to working to the very highest standards, maintaining a range of components in a variety of materials. We offer the complete service – from the prototype stage through development and on to final batch production.

Over the last forty years we have built a reputation, which we are justifiably proud of, for service, quality and dependability at a fair and reasonable price. Our considerable engineering expertise is often in demand to assist with project design and development, and we maintain close links with several design companies.

Our workshop plant contains the latest high-tec CNC turning and milling equipment backed up by a full range of manual machinery and inspection equipment – all operated by our helpful and conscientious staff who are all highly experienced in the precision engineering industry.

We are able to accept data in the majority of IT formats as well as the tried and tested paper method. We achieved the ISO 9002:1994 quality certification in 1998 and have, over time subsequently upgraded to the current ISO standard. Manuals are available for inspection on request.
